I missed the hearing last Tuesday in Council Bluffs on the Missouri river.
What also concerns me other than the environmental issue is the freedom of
speech issue.  The people opposed to the plan seam to have forgotten that
we all have the right to speak out but the boos and cat call intimidate
people from doing that. I have heard opponents to the change in the river
indicate their pride in serving in the military and how they protected
freedom. They seam to they have forgotten that they are protecting my right
to speak also. The chairman of the hearing did warn the audience that their
behavior by booing Ione Werthman was unacceptable.  I plan to write the
Army Corps and empress my concern about behavior of the people at the
hearings. I also feel cheering and applause are also not expectable behavior.
