I just did it as a friendly notice, I didn't mean any harm, as I have been
guilty of the same when I first started using list-serves. My apologies
if anyone was offended.

Phil,
I hope this message means that you know the Hurleys and were sending a pleasant
greeting to them, not that you were implying they shouldn't be using the
list-serve for private mail. (Surely not that, since you did the same thing
with your reply.) Anyway, I did this too when I was new to the list and
thought my reply would go only to the sender --in fact, I have accidentally
done it a time or two since. It's always embarrassing when my intended-to-be-private
e-mail comes back to me as a list message. I expect the Hurley's reaction
was the same.
