The Sierra Club annual dinner will be Oct. 12, at the Wesley Center
Foundation in Iowa City, 120 North Dubuque Street, at 6pm.

In order to get a count for the dinner, please purchase your tickets this
week. You can do this by sending a check to Jack Eastman, Sierra Club Annual
Dinner, PP. O. Box 1192, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Tickets are $30 per person, with part of the money to be used for raising
funds for the chapter.

In addition to the dinner, there will be a silent auction, to raise funds for
the chapter activities.

The speaker is Ronnie Cummins, National Director of the Organic Consumers
Association. He has written a book "Genetically Engineered: A Self-Defense
Guide for Consumers."

The meal will be made from locally grown produce and meats. Last night Wally
and I ate at the Red Avocado, one of the caterers, for the dinner. The food
was absolutely delicious!

This is a good opportunity for Sierra Club members to get together, to meet
each other, and to enjoy an evening learning about environmental issues.

We hope to see you on the 12th.
