George Naylor and his family, Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement members
from Churdan, will be featured on Strong Roots, Fragile Farms, a film
exploring the real life impact of globalization upon today's family farmer in
Iowa and North Carolina as well as in the Philippines and Mexico. George will
discuss the effects of low farm prices on family farmers and their
communities.

The documentary, Strong Roots, Fragile Farms, is scheduled to air on WOI-TV
Channel 5 (Des Moines) on Sunday, October 20, 2002 at 11:05 p.m. Hosted by
Willie Nelson with a music score written by Peter Buffett (composer of the
Dances with Wolves soundtrack), the film, Strong Roots, Fragile Farms puts
human faces from around the world on a complex problem that many believe is
destroying the family farm-globalization.
