Thanks, Jane.  That's a relief.  I doubt Harkin went to Africa to avoid

According to the DM Register today, Senator Harkin is in Africa this
week.

According to the article, members of the Senate had not been scheduled
to
work this week.  Harkin's spokesman said Harkin was told by Daschle that

did not expect any close votes that would require Harkin's presence.
