PUBLIC HEARINGS RE-SCHEDULED IN IOWA CITY AND DECORAH

DES MOINES - Two public hearings scheduled for Iowa City and Decorah on
Tuesday, Feb. 4 that were postponed because of weather have been re-scheduled
for Tuesday, Feb. 11 and Wednesday, Feb. 12, respectively. The public
hearings are being held throughout the state regarding a change in Iowa's
water quality standards relating to bacteria and proposed rules regarding
construction of livestock facilities within floodplains.

The Iowa City hearing on water quality standards will be at 10 a.m. in the
ICN room of the Iowa City Public Library, 123 S. Linn St. The public hearing
on changes relating to animal feeding and floodplains will start in the same
location at 11:30 a.m.

The Decorah hearing on water quality standards will be at Wednesday, Feb. 12
in the Decorah City Hall, 400 Claiborne Drive. The public hearing on changes
relating to animal feeding and flood plains will start in the same location
at 2:30 p.m.
