BIG RIVER EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS FOR TEACHERS
CONDUCTED RIGHT ON THE MIGHTY MISSISSIPPI RIVER USING A FLOATING CLASSROOM!
NO CHARGE TO ATTEND!
A series of one-day workshops on the Mississippi River will be offered this spring by Living Lands and Waters in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and other state and federal agencies.
In order to observe the dynamic and varied Mississippi River first hand the workshops will occur directly on the river. A portion of each workshop will be aboard a floating classroom culminating in the use of smaller boats to visit various river sites.
Participants can expect to expand their knowledge concerning Big Rivers as well as receive educational materials on Big Rivers to take back to their classrooms, civic groups or youth organizations.
