Say No to Tax Cuts for Millionaires!
Rally and March against Tax Cuts for Millionaires
Take Care of Iowa First
When: Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at noon.
Where: Nollen Plaza, downtown Des Moines
Who: labor leaders, seniors, veterans, firefighters, farmers,
students, people with disabilities, and other Iowans
concerned about the impact of more tax cuts on the
federal and state budgets.
Both houses of Congress recently passed budget resolutions that
Contain billions of dollars worth of tax cuts for millionaires. To pay
for these tax cuts, both versions included deep cuts in programs such
as Medicaid, veteran's benefits, student loans, child care and other
services Iowans depend on.
Join us on April 2nd when we tell Senator Grassley to say no to reckless
tax cuts that our country cannot afford, and which jeopardize funding
for health care, education, homeland security and human needs.
Event organized by Iowa Citizen Action Network (www.IowaCAN.org), in conjunction
with Fair Taxes For All, a coalition of over 240 local, state and national groups opposing
President Bush's tax cut proposals. For more information on Fair Taxes go to
