This year's event focuses on the role sustainable hog farming plays as a successful and promising solution to the social, environmental, and moral concerns raised by industrial hog production. Keynote address by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Friday, June 6th
Farm Events and Sustainable Social Hour featuring barbecue, bluegrass music, and beer. From 7-10 pm at the Allstar Events Complex next door to the Eisenhower Inn. $12 entrance fee covers all food and first beverage.
Saturday, June 7th
Full Day Symposium on Sustainable Solutions including approaches to sustainable farming, building profitable farms and markets, as well as updates on technical and legal developments related to industrial livestock production.
Presentations and Panel discussions of sustainable farming practices, farm-to-market initiatives for family farm products, consumer and citizen responses, and the impacts of industrial-scale confinement hog production on rural communities, human health, and the environment.
