Earlier today I sent out an Action Alert about calls needed to members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, to ask them to remove Section 79 of Senate Study Bill 1207.  This section would allow the 3 or 4 largest cities in Iowa to put yard waste in landfills instead of composting it.

The Senate Study Bill has moved out of the committee, so now we need calls and emails to all the senators.  Please call the Senate switchboard (515-281-3371) and ask for your senator.

Click on Find Your Legislator.  You will be asked to enter your address.  A list of all your legislators (federal and state) will come up.  Click on the webpage address for your state senator, to find email addresses.
