Office Manager, Iowa Farmers Union

The Iowa Farmers Union, a progressive general farm organization working and 
advocating for family farmers, is seeking applicants for the part-time position 
of Office Manager, working out of Ames.  The position will be for 
approximately 16 hrs per week.  Agricultural background and post secondary degree 
preferred.  

Skills/Attributes of the ideal candidate:

·       Self starter
·       Detail oriented
·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·       Efficient at multi-tasking
·       Basic office skills
·       Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Quicken 
·       Experience in event organizing 
·       Web skills preferred
·       Willingness to travel occasionally, mostly within Iowa

Stronger candidates will also have experience in two or more of the following 
areas:

·       ag or environmental education
·       political or labor organization
·       non-profit administration
·       program development
·       fundraising
