STATE PRESERVES BOARD TO MEET OCT. 4 NEAR CHEROKEE

CHEROKEE - The State Preserves Advisory Board of the Iowa Department of
Natural Resources will meet at 8:30 a.m., Oct. 4, at the Cherokee County
Conservation Board office, near Cherokee.  Board members are meeting at 1
p.m., Oct. 3, for a tour of Steele Prairie.  Steele Prairie is located 1
mile north, and 2.5 miles west of Larrabee.

Members of the State Preserves Advisory Board are Neil Bernstein, Robin
Fortney, Kathy Gourley, Laura Jackson, Scott Moats and Tim Sproul.  The DNR
Director is Jeffrey Vonk.
