You must of missed Lori's apology posted to this listserve. I saw it. The
title of the message was " I am sorry I goofed". It was dated the 30th. Her
message said. - I’m sorry I meant
to email to Deb Neustadt privately and got the wrong email address. I know this is not a political forum and I apologize for
any inconvenience. Cheers, Lori
It was a mistake and one that was caught and apologized for. Many people
don't realize that when a message is posted to a Sierra Club listserv(e)
by a sender they can't reply to only the sender. The reply message is posted
to the listserve. It happens. It happens on the Iowa Topics listserve because
there are many people on this listserve that are not on any other Sierra
Club listserve.Through the years there have been several cases. It happened
once when a father son combination were on the listserve. I happen to be
on many many Sierra Club listserves and others set up by other environemental
organizations so I am use to not replying to the listserve even when I want
to communicate with the individual that posted a message.
Lori's apology was consistant with the string of email messages. She later
emailed me privately. The message posted to the listserve was not meant to
be a broadcast message. Since she is on the listserve, she probably saw my
name in the sender portion of her inbox and hit reply instead of making a
new message.
I have not seen you since the JJ dinner. I hope your job with the Dean campaign
is going well.

Not only do I object to seeing these messages here because I support Howard
Dean for President, but this is a flagrant violation of the intended use
of the Iowa Sierra Club Listserve and probably violates Sierra Club rules
as well as Federal Campaign Law.
Take your discussions off this list!!!

Hi Deb,
Was wondering if I could
ask you if you’d make a few calls for us tonight to women who are already
supporters of John Kerry’s? We’ve mailed them a packet (you should have gotten
it too) that asks them to Get 5 others to go to the Caucus for John Kerry. I
could email you a list of 20-30 women inDes Moines. These are short calls
because the women are already onboard and they’re very friendly calls. Please
let me know if you have time to help me out?
Thank you,
Lori

1. This event is organized
by John Kerry's campaign. A listing of events does not indicate an endorsement.
The Sierra Club has not endorsed a candidate in this race. Now that Erin
