SATURDAY, APRIL 3:    Prairie Chicken Viewing
Celebrate the return of spring and the continuing return of the once
plentiful chickens to Iowa.  Join Central Iowa Sierrans  for a chance
to see and hear the now
rare spectacle of the mating dance and booming calls of these birds at
the
Kellerton Preserve observation blind a little over an hour south of Des
Moines. We will depart from the coffee house in Metro Market in Des
Moines
at 4 p.m. to drive down to the blind for viewing before sunset.  Come to
Metro Market at 3 p.m. if you wish to sample or purchase the locally and
sustainably grown food and products sold there before we head out.
