Subject: Update on French Creek lawsuit -- appeal to be heard July 16

The French Creek case is scheduled for oral argument before the Iowa Supreme Court on July 16, at 9:00 am. The court is located at 111 East Court Avenue in Des Moines. The argument will be open to the public.

This case concerns a CAFO (concentrated animal feeding operation) in northeast Iowa that Sierra Club believes is polluting French Creek, a prime trout fishing stream.

We are also challenging the Iowa DNR policy of not requiring NPDES permits (National Pollution Discharge permits) for CAFO's.
