to Fire Behavior and Fire Safety *
ArialWhether you are interested in
fire suppression or prescribed burns, the same principles of fire
behavior and fire safety apply. In addition to these basic
principles, Peter May and Jeffrey Learned will be bringing a unique
perspective on prairie/woodland restoration in a creative and fun
context. Upon course completion, we will be able to better manage our
own land with the appropriate use of fire and, for those who pass the
red card certification, go out on regional and
nationalNWCGWildfires.

ArialCamp sites are available at
the park on a first come, first serve basis ($10/night with
electrical, $7/night without). Cabins need to be reserved ahead of
time by calling Therese Cummiskey at 641-472-4421 ($25/night for 2 or
more nights; $35/night for one night only).

Chief (inColorado), Fire Management Officer,
Ignition Specialist, Burn Boss Trainee, Engine Boss, Crew Boss, Task
Force Leader, with B.S. in Architecture and practicing as a designer
of natural architecture. Jeffrey is an Engine Boss, Class B Sawyer,
Incident Command Type 5, Crew/Squad Boss, Ignition Specialist, Burn
Boss Trainee and Firing Boss.

required for certification as a National Wildfire Coordinating Group
(NWCG) Wildland Firefighter.
