I would like to help, but I'm too far behind in getting
organized because of all the travelling we have done.

SECOND NOTICE, MORE
DETAILS
The Bush administration is coming back to the metro Des Moines area again
on
tomorrow, August 31, on his way to the GOP Convention! When Bush came
to
Davenport and then Sioux City over the past month, we had a very
successful
demonstrations, turning out several Sierrans and getting great
media
coverage of the Bush administration's bad environmental record.
Please help! Let us make next week's event a very successful one! And
we
will have fun!
What:
Protest the Bush administration's environmental record while the
President
speaks at the Farm Progress Show near Alleman (brief distance north of
Des
Moines.)
When:
12:00 pm, (Noon) to 3 pm, Tuesday, August 31, 2004
Where:
We will meet in front of the Sierra Club, Iowa Chapter Office, 3839
Merle
Hay Road, at 12:00 pm (Noon), tomorrow, August 31. We will carpool to
the
Farm Progress Show site...as there will be very limited parking and
access.
Pres. Bush will be speaking at around 3 pm at the Farm Progress Show
near
Alleman. We will get as close as we can to the event about 2 hours
before
the President is scheduled to speak.
Our message will focus on clean air and water, and the need for
strong
environmental protections to have strong, healthy communities.
Call or email with any questions. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
And
we will have fun doing this!
