SECOND NOTICE, MORE DETAILS The Bush administration is coming back to the metro Des Moines area again on tomorrow, August 31, on his way to the GOP Convention! When Bush came to Davenport and then Sioux City over the past month, we had a very successful demonstrations, turning out several Sierrans and getting great media coverage of the Bush administration's bad environmental record. Please help! Let us make next week's event a very successful one! And we will have fun! What: Protest the Bush administration's environmental record while the President speaks at the Farm Progress Show near Alleman (brief distance north of Des Moines.) When: 12:00 pm, (Noon) to 3 pm, Tuesday, August 31, 2004 Where: We will meet in front of the Sierra Club, Iowa Chapter Office, 3839 Merle Hay Road, at 12:00 pm (Noon), tomorrow, August 31. We will carpool to the Farm Progress Show site...as there will be very limited parking and access. Pres. Bush will be speaking at around 3 pm at the Farm Progress Show near Alleman. We will get as close as we can to the event about 2 hours before the President is scheduled to speak. Our message will focus on clean air and water, and the need for strong environmental protections to have strong, healthy communities. Call or email with any questions.
