Holding Ground: The Rebirth of Dudley Street In the aftermath of decades
of disinvestment by governments, banks, and industry, the residents of
an ethnically diverse Boston neighborhood joined together to rebuild
their community. During the film “Holding Ground,” residents and other
participants tell how the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative turned a
community around through grassroots organizing and planning.
Brownfields Redevelopment: Tools for Environmental Justice For local
governments and communities, “Tools for Environmental Justice” explores
the necessary measures needed in brownfields redevelopment to achieve
the goal of environmental justice. Using the city of New Orleans as the
background, the film describes how New Orleans implemented President
Clinton's 1994 Executive Order that created the environmental justice

Efforts"

organizations in the Metro East and St. Louis Region have worked
together on environmental health and brownfield issues. This

River.
