2005 Session - 2nd Funnel report - Part 1 Iowa Sierrans:

Because of arbitrary line limits on postings to Chapter listservs, I have to split this report into 2-3 parts. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I provide the attached report as my Second Funnel report of bills introduced and remaining active and available for further action after the Second Funnel deadline for the 2005 Session of the Iowa General Assembly. There are 39 of them, of varying levels of interest to Sierra Club, Iowa Chapter. Active bills appear first in order.

You can, of course, check on the text of any bill, or its on-going current status at the General Assembly's bill tracking site: [just click below]

http://www.legis.state.ia.us/Legislation.html

Note that I include the Bill #, Bill Title, and some notes of milestones in addition to the weblink. ( Bills had through Friday, March 11, to be reported out of Committee in order to clear the “First Funnel”, and through April 8 to clear the ”Second Funnel” committee deadline, which is having passed the first chamber and out of committee in the second chamber.) Note that bills that are sponsored by or referred to Ways & Means or Appropriations Committees are exempt from the Funnel deadlines, so remain available even though no further action has occurred to them.

As always, I continue to take pride in my association with the Iowa Chapter of Sierra Club. Thanks. Lyle Krewson.
