 CALL FOR NEW MEMBERS of the Membership Stewardship Committee (MSC).

The Organizational Effectiveness Governance Committee (OEGC) seeks
additional members for appointment to the Membership Stewardship Committee.
The MSC is one of nine subcommittees appointed by and reporting to the
OEGC.

The MSC is charged with designing and implementing programs & strategies to
engage and activate more of our membership.  We will be using the findings
of the National Purpose Local Action research project, conducted by
Marshall Ganz Ph.D, as the basis for our work.

Included among the short-term goals of the MSC, is to help facilitate
regular communications and skills training for chapter and group membership
chairs.  Included among the long-term goals of the MSC is to develop the
capacity of the membership chair to be a key resource to the Executive
Committee of each chapter and group.

This is a ground floor opportunity. The MSC will be establishing goals,
along with associated implementation plans, to be approved by the OEGC.

Applicants must be current Sierra Club members.  We are only accepting
self-nominations.  If you know of others you think may have an interest in
serving on the MSC, please pass this announcement on to them.
