I agree that Carolyn has written many excellent articles. However, I want to correct you on one thing--it was actually Brenda Fuller who wrote the Doug Gross/private lake article.

Should Carolyn Szczepanski get the environmental journalism award? She also wrote the great article about Doug Gross' private lake at public expense destroying a natural area.

By the way, what do Des Moines people think of City View now that Michael Gartner owns it. My gut reaction is that Gartner's ownership can't be good.
