The listening sessions are an opportunity for women to discuss the
agricultural and rural issues most important to them and what they'd like to
see included in the 2007 Farm Bill. Stacey Brown, Women, Food, and
Agriculture Network Coordinating Council Chair states, "The Farm Bill should
be of concern to all people-not just farmers-because it impacts the food we
eat, the water we drink, and Iowa's natural environment."

Participants will also be given information to help them discuss Farm Bill
issues with their legislators. This session is non-partisan, free, and open
to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The ten Farm Bill listening sessions are sponsored by Women, Food, and
Agriculture Network with funding from the Leopold Center for Sustainable
Agriculture. Information from all ten sessions will be compiled and
presented to participants, farm organizations, and legislators in the
spring. For more information, or for weather cancellation information,
