Date TBA<Sioux City, Floyd Blvd Farmers¹ Market The listening sessions are an opportunity for women to discuss the agricultural and rural issues most important to them and what they'd like to see included in the 2007 Farm Bill. Stacey Brown, Women, Food, and Agriculture Network Coordinating Council Chair states, ³The Farm Bill should be of concern to all people<not just farmers<because it impacts the food we eat, the water we drink, and Iowa¹s natural environment.² Participants will also be given information to help them discuss Farm Bill issues with their legislators. This session is non-partisan, free, and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. The ten Farm Bill listening sessions are sponsored by Women, Food, and Agriculture Network with funding from the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture. Information from all ten sessions will be compiled and presented to participants, farm organizations, and legislators in the spring.
