Forest Certification Committee recruitment announcement: The Sierra Club's Forest Certification committee is looking for two new members. This committee is working on advancing the Club's participation in the issue of green certification of forest management and forest products. This committee will be involved in: 1. recommending Club policy and positions regarding domestic and global certification issues 2. monitoring developments in the forest certification field 3. providing advice to Sierran activists and staff involved in certification The committee includes representatives from existing SC entities involved in related forest issues and also includes 4 to 6 additional "at large" volunteers. This announcement is a call for applicants for those volunteer positions. The Forest Certification Committee operates under the umbrella of the Wild Planet Strategy Team. The committee has monthly conference calls. Members are expected to have time between calls to work on committee related issues.
