We will be in room 1 next to the cafe. It is on the south side and on the first floor. The Iowa DNR and Iowa State University is continuing bobcat research in south-central Iowa to explore bobcat ecology in Iowa. We will describe the behaviors of radio-tagged bobcats in the research project, and where bobcats can be found in Iowa. We will also describe methods used for wildlife research for other species, displaying the various equipment used. Come enjoy photos of bobcats that have been part of the study in Iowa. We will also talk about the rare mountian lion sightings in Iowa, and what we know about this rare cat in the Midwest, seperating fact from fiction. Update on the federal Endangered Species Act.
