CALL FOR NEW MEMBERS OF THE REGIONAL CONSERVATION STRATEGY TEAM (RCST)

The Conservation Governance Committee (CGC) seeks additional members for
appointment to the Regional Conservation Strategy Team.  The RCST is one of
five Strategy Teams appointed by and reporting to the CGC.

The RCST is responsible for oversight of projects developed by multiple
chapters working together on conservation issues of regional significance.
RCST reviews plans, allocates funding and offers ongoing support to the
projects that are funded. RCST assists in communication and coordination
between regional projects and national entities when needed and generally
supports regional conservation work. RCST reviews both mid year and year
end reports from all funded projects and reports to CGC on those reports.
Members of RCST are expected to serve as liaisons to the various funded
projects, participate in conference calls and participate in review of all
of the previously mentioned applications and reports.

Applicants must be current Sierra Club members.  Sierra Club of Canada
members are not eligible to apply.  Contact Sierra Club Canada at

We are only accepting self-nominations.  If you know of others you think
may have an interest in serving on the RCST, please pass this announcement
on to them.
