LEARN ABOUT WOMEN'S HEALTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT
AT WFAN ANNUAL MEETING MARCH 31 IN WEST DES MOINES

DES MOINES--Women, Food and Agriculture Network will hold its annual meeting
on Saturday, March 31 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the West Des Moines Public
Library, 4000 Mills Civic Parkway in West Des
Moines.
Speakers will include
Angi Tagtow, environmental nutrition
consultant, and
Sue Roberts, nutritionist and attorney, who will talk on
women's health and the environment. "There are many issues that concern the
women of Iowa, especially around food and the environment," says Denise O'Brien,
executive director of WFAN. "Our expert presenters offer women the opportunity
to hear about what is happening on the state and national
levels."
Women, Food and Agriculture Network, celebrating its
10
th anniversary this year, works to link and empower women to build
food systems and communities that are healthy, just, sustainable, and that
promote environmental integrity.
WFAN recently published a report
on Women's Voices in the Farm Bill that can be accessed at
