Sierrans:

SF 550, cafo county review commission, was placed on the placed on the
Senate Unfinished Business Calendar 4/5/2007. So it is technically still
alive and could be used as the vehicle for further action, on itself, or to
be amended.

HF 873 was re-referred to House Ways & Means Committee 4/5/2007, so it is
technically still available for further action as well. If I recall my rules
correctly, if the WM Committee acted on it, they would report it out as a
Ways & Means bill with a new number. "IF." The two bills are fully
available, so our issue remains alive, as they could be used as Ścompanion
bills'.

This is all the technical, by the rules, response...politically no one knows
for certain if our issue should be considered 'alive' or 'dead'...but to
reference a common metaphor, we have not heard from the operatic soprano
yet.
