Volunteers still needed--please contact Jane Clark at [log in to unmask]

Water Works Park Event, Saturday, April 21--10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Thanks to everyone who has already volunteered to help at the Sierra Club table on Saturday for the "Blues for Greens" event.

But we still need volunteers, especially from noon until 6 p.m.

Water Works Park is west of Fleur Drive and north of George Flagg Parkway in Des Moines.

There will be signs along George Flagg Parkway, so follow the signs to the location called the "Big Events Field," where Make-A-Wish does their Holiday Lights Festival every year. We will probably have a banner on the front of our table and there are only 15 or so tables so we won't be hard to find.

Please dress comfortably and wear sun screen and a hat might be a good idea, too. There is a chance of rain, so be prepared. You should also bring water--there will be food vendors.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resource, in association with the Iowa Clean Cities Coalition, and the Iowa American Lung Association, is planning an event that will feature E85, electric, hybrid, diesel, propane, natural gas and flex fuel vehicles at Waterworks Park in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday April 21st, 2007. The event is called, "Blues for Greens," and sets environmentally friendly organizations, with blues music and ethnic food vendors acting as the backdrop for this family-friendly event.
