This workshop will cover the basics of residential sized, grid-tied photovoltaic solar systems. After a brief overview of how the solar panels convert solar energy into electricity, we will learn how to design a system, including how to determine costs, additional equipment and placement of the solar (PV- Photovoltaic) panels. He has conducted numerous classes and installation workshops for I-Renew including the design and installation workshop for the New Bohemia installation in Cedar Rapids, IA, Iowa's largest multi-array solar installation. In 2005, Dennis became Iowa's first nationally certified solar installer.
