Gore's Oscar winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, the presentation
will address causes and consequences of global warming as well as real
solutions and opportunities in Iowa to take action toward them. The young
organizers of the event will offer information on the challenge of their
generation, confronting global warming, and how everyone can be a part of the
solution. ReEnergizeIA is a project of the Sierra Student Coalition, the
national student chapter of the Sierra Club, and is organizing the March to
ReEnergizeIA this summer in which citizens will walk from Ames to Des
Moines from August 2-5 in what organizers plan to make the
largest ever Midwestern action on global warming. Refreshments will be provided
at the presentations and child care is available upon request.
