        REAP is a local, grassroots conservation program that is guided by 
your local interests for your local needs. Since 1990, REAP has spent $41.4 
million on city and county conservation board grants throughout Iowa. 
Working on the REAP Committee is one of the best ways to have a voice and 
make a difference in local conservation and outdoor recreation activities in 
your county.

Polk County Resources Enhancement and Protection (REAP) Committee Meeting on 
August 2

        The public is invited to attend a Polk County Recreation Enhancement 
and Protection (REAP) meeting on Thursday, August 2, from 6-8 p.m., at the 
NW Community Center (5110 Franklin Ave, Des Moines).

 Agenda items include:

        Introduction to REAP/Funding Opportunities
        Election of Officers
        5-Year Plan Development
        2007 Grant Application Signatures
