Dear Friends,
Imagine this: thousands converging in Des
Moines, Iowa, uniting to demand national action for a clean energy
economy and real solutions to global warming. The March to
ReEnergize Iowa is that call: we're asking our leaders to cut global
warming pollution 80 percent by 2050 and to create 2 million new
clean energy jobs. We're inviting you, your family and your friends
to join us as we raise the profile of global warming in the national
public debate.
RSVP
here to join us in Iowa on August 5th.
We will be
joined by Dr. James Hansen, NASA's chief climatologist and an
internationally respected voice for action on global warming. Dr.
Hansen, as well as Mayor Frank Cownie of Des Moines and other
community leaders, will walk the final stretch with us and speak at
Nollen Plaza in Des Moines on August 5th.
You, your friends and family are invited -- RSVP
here, and bring everyone you know!
This amazing campaign has been led by students and youth working
with the Sierra Student Coalition, spending their summers to work
for change. Now, they're counting on citizens like you to come out
and show your support for real solutions to global warming and a
clean energy economy.
The world is looking to us for leadership. The country is
listening to what we say and do. We're in the right place at the
right time to make a difference - so let's walk the talk for a clean
energy future!
Putting movement into the movement,

ReEnergize Iowa Organizing Team
