DNR LIFTS BOIL ORDER FOR OYENS

OYENS– The DNR lifted a boil order for the City of Oyens at 2 p.m.
Friday after laboratory test results came back clean for bacteria.
“The water samples show that the water in Oyens is safe to drink,”
said Lois Benson, an environmental specialist with the Spencer DNR field
office.
The city collected five water samples Thursday. All five came back
negative for coliform bacteria on Friday.
The boil order for the Plymouth County town has been in effect since
Aug. 11.
