Iowa Department of Natural ResourcesConservation and Recreation Division For Immediate Release August 15, 2007 OELWEIN MEN ARRESTED FOR COMMERCIALIZATION OF WILDLIFE For more information contact: Jennifer Lancaster, 319-240-5032 OELWEIN - Two Oelwein men were arrested Tuesday for allegedcommercialization of wildlife following the serving of search warrantsat each of their houses. Conservation Officers from the Iowa Department of Natural Resourcesserved search warrants at the houses of 51 year-old Roy WilliamBrockmeyer and 34 year-old Steven “Chad” Brockmeyer. Fayette CountyDeputies transported the pair to the county jail. Roy Brockmeyer was tobe held on $10,000 bond and Chad Brockmeyer was to be held on $5,000bond. Items were seized pursuant to the search warrants at each of theresidences. The District Court judge who issued the search warrantsordered that the warrants be sealed so the contents of the warrants andthe inventory of seized property cannot be released. At this time each man has been charged with two counts ofcommercialization of wildlife.
