Call for Nominations Organizational Effectiveness Committee (OEGC) The CCL Nominating Committee is seeking candidates to run for the OEGC. The committee has eight (8) voting members of whom the Council of Club Leaders elects six (6), and two (2) are appointed annually by the Board of Directors. The Council at their Annual Meeting elects their members for two-year terms and the Council Chair serves as an ex-officio member without a vote. Three (3) members will be elected this year for a two-year term. Organizational Effectiveness Committee Responsibilities: Responsible for setting policies and procedures to enhance the overall effectiveness of the Sierra Club so that it can better meet its organizational goals. Helps facilitate communication among and between the Board, leaders, activists, members and staff and promotes broad participation in Club decision-making. Works to create and monitor programs that motivate, empower and provide resources to activists and leaders to enable them to carry out the work of the Club, and maintain its essential volunteer-driven nature. Encourages strategic planning at all levels and evaluates the effectiveness of volunteer entities, programs and internal communications, and recognizes volunteer achievements. The members of this Governance Committee are directly elected for two-year terms by the Council at the Annual Meeting each year.
