Course Technology Note: This course is best-viewed using a high-speed (Cable-modem, DSL, or Network) connection to the internet. Those with a dial-up connection may still participate, but may need to access alternate computers for some of the multimedia presentations.
During the course, you will interact with professional Sierra Club Environmental Justice activists, learning peers, and content in a variety of mediums. You will gain compelling insight into the connections between environmental pollution, poverty, racism, and class inequity. You will develop your understanding of the EJ issues in your own area, and the Sierra Club resources that can help address them.
Please note that your participation will take at least two hours a week, and possibly four or more hours. Be prepared to make that commitment, so that you and your classmates can obtain the full benefits.
Your course facilitators,
Rita Harris Bill Price
