FYI.  A new study by the USGS has concluded that all of the polar bears in Alaska will likely be gone within 50 years if current trends continue, including global warming which is causing melting of the sea ice. As a result of the new information, the period for public comment on whether the polar bear should be listed as endangered has been extended until October 22nd. 
 
Below are links with information about where and how to submit public comments on the proposed listing of the polar bear as endangered under the Endangered Species Act.  A few points that you could mention:
