CALL FOR APPLICATIONS Environmental Partnerships Program Committee The Sierra Club's Environmental Partnerships Program Committee is currently looking for new members. The goal of the Partnerships Program is to broaden the base of active support for environmental protection in the U.S. To achieve this goal, we work with a variety of allies including hunters, anglers, faith groups, labor unions, communities, and others. Our objectives are to: 1. Build long-term trusting relationships with the leadership and grassroots of a diverse group of strategically selected communities and constituencies. 2. Identify constituencies and communities with which we currently have common ground and facilitate working relationships with them at the local, regional and national levels. Committee responsibilities include: 1. Participating in monthly conference calls. 2. Helping with annual program planning, including prioritizing constituencies, strategies, and media markets. 3. Helping develop constituency outreach ideas. 4. Working on specific internal committee tasks such as evaluating funding requests from chapters and groups, promoting the program at all levels of the Sierra Club, identifying Club activists who are affiliated with or knowledgeable about particular constituencies. 5. Working on specific external committee projects with other constituencies and communities. 6. Attending an occasional in-person meeting, usually held every few years. An in-person meeting is being planned for early 2008. If you would like to serve on our committee, please complete the application below and email it to the three people listed on the Application Form (below).
