Here is a notice that indicates that there is additional time for citizens to give the DNR more information about the use of rivers and streams in Iowa.  Please use this extra time to notify the DNR of any streams that you know are being used for recreational purposes.
 
Attached is a comment form you can use.

Subject: UAA comment deadline extended

I just got a message from Wayne Gieselman that DNR is extending the public comment deadline until Jan. 2nd for the UAA downgrade recommendations.  That should give us a little more time to get the word out to the public on the rivers and streams that need to maintain the highest use designations.
