DES MOINES – The Environmental Protection Commission will elect officers at its regular meeting Jan. 15, and meet jointly with the Natural Resource Commission on Jan. 16.
The regular meeting will be held at 10 a.m. at the DNR Air Quality Building, 7900 Hickman Road in Urbandale.
Commissioners will meet the Roya Stanley, the new Director of the Office of Energy Independence, at 10:15 a.m. Public comments are scheduled for 10:30 a.m.

The EPC and NRC commissioners will meet for dinner at 6:30 p.m. at Johnny’s Steakhouse, 6800 Fleur Drive in Des Moines.
On Jan. 16, they will meet together from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the fourth floor conference room of the Wallace Building, 502 East Ninth St., Des Moines.
