For Immediate Release: February 12, 2008For More Information Contact: Leigh Adcock (800) 775-5227 MULQUEEN, LA SEUR FEATURED SPEAKERS AT BOOSTER CLUB LUNCHEON SUNDAY MARSHALLTOWN -- Bob Mulqueen, policy director of the Iowa Powerfund, and attorney Carrie La Seur, president of Plains Justice, will be featured speakers at the 2008 Booster Club Luncheon hosted by Iowa Farmers Union Sunday, Feb. 17 beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Best Western Regency Inn, Marshalltown. Mulqueen will give a presentation on the structure and activities of the newly created Iowa Powerfund and Office of Energy Independence. La Seur will give an overview of the on-going work of Plains Justice, a public interest environmental law center working for environmental justice and sustainable communities in the Northern Plains region of the U.S., including eastern Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa. Other speakers will include state legislator John Whitaker and Democratic congressional candidate Ed Fallon. Tickets to the event are $30 each, including lunch.
