Karen and I had a good time last night contacting members in central Iowa. I hope our members on this listserve take the time today to write. I am very concerned about the affect that carbon dioxide is having on our earth. The affects of global warming as the ice caps melt will be devasting. I am doing my part by driving a car that uses fuel effciently and I have my thermostat at home set at 65. I walk to places in my neighborhood instead of driving. I try to recycle and resue things as much as possible. I try to use the least amount of hot water possible when I was dishes or clothes. As a state legislator you have the power to make a big difference. Energy efficiency as a priority for our utiltiy companies can make a difference in the amount of carbon dioxide that ends up in our atmosphere.
