RIVERSIDE — A plugged sewer line caused about 25,000 gallons of untreated wastewater to discharge from a manhole in Riverside Monday.

Wastewater discharged from the manhole at the intersection of Fourth Street and Highway 22 to an unnamed tributary of the English River. The discharge began at 3:00 a.m. Monday and ended at 7:00 a.m. The city has cleared and repaired the sewer line.
