This is a scorecard issue.

HF 2692 was introduced on Monday by the Majority and Minority Leaders of the Iowa Housed. It includes the issues, from earlier bills, that are needed for Iowa to be in compliance for the de-delagation issue. In addition the leadership added the Manure Stockpiling Bill that DNR, IEC and Sierra Club have been working to get defeated or amended. Lots of pressure was placed on the members of the House Agriculture Committee.

The following Committee Members voted AGAINST the Kuhn Amendment, which would have removed the Manure Stockpiling issue from HF2692 in House Agriculture Committee yesterday:

A vote AGAINST would represent the Farm Bureau, Pork Producers’ and AgriBusiness position.
