Rebuild Iowa's soil to absorb water

In Tom Vilsack's confirmation hearings for secretary of agriculture, he disclosed that he receives $7,500 a year from an Agriculture Department program that "pays farmers to idle environmentally sensitive land." Idle? Those acres are the busiest acres on the farm, and our language ought to respect their hard work.
