Join Us at the Natural Living Expo!
Dear Friend,
We are excited to be part of the 4th Annual Natural Living Expo! 1000 Friends of Iowa will be one of more than 90 businesses and organizations supporting sustainability and healthy living at the Polk County Convention Complex on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. & Sunday, March 29 from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.. All parking and admission is FREE for this
event.
Stephanie Stegeman, board member of 1000 Friends of Iowa, will be speaking on a panel about "Green Volunteering" on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. There will be more than 40 additional presentations in the Natural Living Education Series covering:
- Balanced Living - Learn ways to bring fun, relaxation, recreation and joy into our lives by scheduling these elements into our lives for a better work/life balance.
- Healthy Living - Discover ways to be well including tips on fitness, food, self care and holistic practitioner choices.
- Green Living - For many this involves recycling, reducing, re-using and restore. Go beyond the basic four elements and learn about sustainable living choices.
- Conscious Living - What it means to live mindfully & how to be a conscious consumer in a world of consumerism.
- Connected Living - The following questions will be addressed: How do we define community? What are opportunities to get involved and be connected to our community?
- Creative Living Stage - What would life be without music and art? Iowa musicians and artists will be featured in this first ever celebration.
There will also be free gift drawings at this fun event, please come and check it out! Remember to bring your re-usable shopping bags & carpool with friends and family.
