Compared to other U.S. schools, Iowa community colleges and private universities have bragging rights about their commitment to saving the Earth - if filing paperwork is any indication.

The Chronicle of Higher Education earlier this month reported that about one in four of the more than 600 colleges and universities across the country that joined the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment were late in filing reports on their greenhouse gas emissions.
