Bald Eagle Release
Saturday, April 10 ~ 1:00pm
Kuehn Conservation Area, Earlham

Dallas County Conservation Board along with Kay Neumann from SOAR
(Saving Our Avian Resources) plans to release a rescued bald eagle at
the Kuehn Conservation Area near Earlham.

Last May the bald eagle was brought to Kay Neumann, wildlife rehabilitator,
as it was unable to fly because its feathers were seemingly “glued” together
and hard as a rock. After further investigation, this bald eagle also had an
abnormally high level of lead in its blood. Now, with a whole new set of
feathers and no more lead in its system, the eagle is ready to be returned
to the wild.  Join us to hear the eagle’s story and to be a part of its release.

The release will happen rain or shine, so please dress for the weather.

No registration is required for this FREE program.
